2008 vs 2009 vs 2010

So IGN recently released gameplay footage of SMB and all I can say is that I can't wait any longer.
That game looks awesome! I seriously wish I could play it now. The NG version looks like crap compared to the console version. (I'm not saying the NG version IS crap but still) Seeing that upcoming game and a slew of other good ones really makes me wonder: What do you think is the best year for video games? 2008 with SSB Brawl, Mario Kart Wii etc? 2009 with the DSi, Punch-Out!!, Pokemon Platinum etc? Or 2010 with Super Meat Boy, Pokemon HG/SS, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Tingle 2 etc? I'd love to hear from you guys!
